This gentle aquatic workout is designed to work on flexibility, range of motion, balance, joint mobility, stability, and coordination
No resistance tools are used, but rather the 3-dimensional resistance of the water is used to help improve strength in the muscles and connective tissues around the joints
The many benefits of working in the water include a low impact environment, while the hydrostatic pressure of the water helps reduce inflammation, as well as providing othe benefits
This class provides a complete, gentle overall workout, and is not just for those with arthritis
It is a great way to get stronger to prepare for surgery, and post-surgical rehab, for those just getting back into exercising, or those with a limited capacity for strenuous exercise
Includes some cognitive and memory drills
A more athletic aquatics class for the more vital participants (Ex. Independent Living Residents)
This fun and invigorating aquatic workout combines full body strengthening using resistance tools (aquatic dumbbells, pool noodles, etc.), along with cardio interval training to help improve overall fitness and cardio capacity, while also increasing core strength and flexibility
Also great work for balance and coordination
Working suspended in deep water using floatation devices, such as buoyancy belts and pool noodles, helps create a minimal, to no impact workout
The resistance of the water along with the resistance tools helps build strength, stamina, and cardio capacity
A great way to exercise for those with foot or ankle issues, as well as those with neuropathy who cannot tolerate impact workouts

Strength, core and cardio training using various equipment including strength/cardio machines, dumbbells, resistance bands, and balls, etc. for strength, coordination, and mobility

Assisted stretching, including PNF (proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation) stretching, when needed
